Paint for the Planet is an exhibit and auction of children’s art organized by the United Nations Environmental Programme.
After hearing José María Aznar and Vaklav Klaus question climate change yesterday, it is refreshing to experience what children of developing nations have to say on the subject.
I would like to hear Klaus tell to the face of these children that “environmentalism is the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity“.
I wonder if Aznar, who calls environmentalists “the Inquisition of today“, would see these drawings as modern versions …

José María Aznar, former President of the Government of Spain (and President Bush’s good friend) spoke today in Madrid against those ‘standard-bearers of the apocalypse’ who continue to warn about climate change.
Aznar was joined by the President of the Czech Republic Vaklav Klaus for the presentation of the book Planeta Azul (no verde) -A Blue (not green) Planet-, written precisely by Klaus, who happens to be a notoriously active and obstinate climate change negationist. The book is published by Aznar’s conservative think tank, the FAES Foundation.

Last Saturday I attended the Nonprofit Bootcamp 2008 in San Mateo, California, organized by the Craigslist Foundation.
It was a wonderful experience, very energizing, where I learnt lots of things and tapped into a great deal of fantastic local resources.
Most of the presentations, slides, materials, etc, are available for download from the website so that anyone interested in the nonprofit world can access all the resources for free, which is excellent!
